Bodies of tomorrow
3D Visualisation & Outdoor exhibition
The pandemic changes the relationship to our own but also to other bodies. Touch is becoming rarer, interpersonal exchanges are taking place more and more digitally.
What will tomorrow's bodies look like when they adapt to these changes?
Body boundaries will become more fluid, blurred and merged. They are redefined in the digital and transform themselves disembodied into new forms far away from body norms and gender boundaries.
Based on 3D scans of real bodies, the series explores membranes of body, self, and social spaces as settings for change and visions of the future. Quotes and thoughts about the future of bodies serve as a starting point for the visualizations.
