Invisible Worlds
Immersive 360° projection
“Data are the new artifacts inside the modern Museum of Natural History.” – Ellen Futter, former president of the Museum
The exhibition 'Invisible Worlds' at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City invites visitors on a journey into realms beyond human perception. A twelve-minute looping film, presented in a newly built part of the museum, immerses audiences in a series of interconnected environments. From the rainforest and the ocean to the urban landscape and even within the human body, all viewed through the lens of science.
I had the opportunity to develop the concept and storyline together with our team at Tamschick Media + Space, in close collaboration with scientists from the museum and around the world. Through numerous creative and research sessions, we explored what these “invisible worlds” truly are and how we could interconnect them to create a compelling journey through fascinating new realms of nature.
Phenomena that are ordinarily too fast, too slow, too small, too vast, or otherwise hidden are brought into view and woven into a captivating visual narrative. 'Invisible Worlds' transforms abstract scientific data into tangible experiences, allowing visitors to perceive the unseen patterns and processes that shape life on Earth.
