RED – a spatial film installation

The exhibition RED was implemented March to August 2017 at the Filmmuseum in Frankfurt am Main. The museum invited tenders for the temporary exhibition on the color red in film and the company Tamschick Media+Space competed for the conception and implementation.

Various aspects of the theme – such as red in make-up, costume and set design- were brought to life in a spatial dramaturgy and sections of films were shown as immaterial exhibits. The effect of the color red on the body and its senses was made tangible by developing a light dramaturgy that bathed the entire space in red light every 10 minutes.

I developed the idea, the concept and the scenography in the tender phase together with the team.
